Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School was founded in 1970 and was blessed by His Holiness Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. Shri. K.S.Narayanan, Chairman Emeritus, Chemplast Sanmar Ltd., is the Chairman and Shri.V.S.Dandapani is the Managing Trustee of the Indian Education Trust which manages the school.

Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School is located in Adyar,chennai, amidst sylvan and serene surroundings. It is a Co-educational institution with a strength of nearly 2000 students and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school has classes from Kindergarten to Std. XII. They are handled by highly qualified staff and personalized individual attention to the students is the hallmark of the institution. The school has been producing cent percent results in the Board Examinations consecutively for nearly a quarter century.
