The primary department conducted its ISA activity on 24.12.2009. The activity titled ‘Global Traveller’ presented two programmes aimed at helping children understand and appreciate the diversity in culture in different countries.
The first activity was a play based on Greek mythology called ‘Perseus slays Medusa the gorgon’. The activity was a part of a comparative study on Indian and Greek mythology.
While the IV standard had class in actions from Indian epics, V standard children presented the Greek story.
The second activity was a project that displayed important and interesting exhibits from different countries like Africa, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Malaysia.
In addition to the various models, charts and items representing the different countries, students also showcased the various traditional costumes around the world.
The activity saw the enthusiastic participation of nearly 150 students and was a real eye opener for students to know more about different countries and also a platform for children to collect present and share the sights and sounds across the globe.
